Safety Tips for OodyMeet Users

The purpose of OodyMeet is to connect people in every city. We make every effort to create and promote a positive experience, but we strongly encourage users to be cautious and use common sense when meeting new people. Below we’ve outlined the guidelines to help you stay safe and secure.

Online

  1. For privacy and safety reasons, use our “chat” system to communicate with other users. Do not give out your personal contact information before meeting.

  2. If you feel harassed by someone, please block that user without hesitation.

  3. Never give any financial information, such as your credit card number or bank details, to people you don't know.

  4. Oody will never send you an email asking for your username and password information. This type of message should be immediately reported to customer support.

  5. Be cautious of those who offer things which sound too good to be true, or ask for any unnecessary information (address, birthdate, etc.).

Offline

  1. Remember to get to know the people online before meeting them.

  2. Never meet anyone without a profile photo and walk away if the person looks different.

  3. Even after accepting a request, there is no obligation to meet anyone you don't feel comfortable with. However, if your plan changes, please kindly let them know.

  4. Always meet in a populated, public location – never in a private or remote place.

  5. Turn away and leave anytime when you feel uncomfortable.

Please report any suspicious activities to customer support.
